THE MEAN MACHINE
Automobile's foul vexation spoils, and soils!
Smashing through modern life's sweat and turmoil,
Poison: passing though internal combustion's coil,
Pollution, dioxin, oozing contamination's festering boil,
From the use and abuse of infectious crude oil!
It all started in the chaos of primeval earth,
The flood, gushing moisture in a cataclysmic dearth.
Dinosaurs crushed, pulverized by earth's hearse,
Crystallizing into raw petroleum's civilized curse,
Used to fuel our suicide machine's perpetual thirst.
Drug blurred, dazed, self serving, minds,
Steering tons of metal down scraggly lines,
In a shackling physical & economic bind,
Turning fresh air into stench, smog & grime,
Making environmental destruction a matter of time!
