CAFFINE
Here's to Caff she makes us laugh!
Exiting brain cells with her magical staff.
Making café philosophers muse and wonder,
"Does thunder make lightning or lightning make thunder?"
From lush parlors with fine china's lavish beauty
Where servants serve capachino in devotion to duty,
To hobo jungle's train rattling din
Where bums drink black coffee in discarded old tins:
Caff is there with her bright smile
Brining us idle relaxation for a while,
With petty talk, vain chatter's pitter-patter,
As cup after cup bloats the bladder!
Caff is found in exotic blends of coffee and tea,
And in soda pop's effervescent glee,
When fighting sleep as eyes begin to close
We can use Caffs concentrated essence packaged No-dose!
In the morning with glassy eyes and groggy minds
We emerge from sleeps cocoon and try to unwind,
Cafe's invigorating presence jolts us awake
Making drowsy awareness rattles and shake.
When enjoying Caff's stimulating delight
It seems that the fancy just barely takes flight,
Anticipation and pleasure hardly rise off the ground
In a few anticlimactic minutes it falls back down!
To some this incessant caffeine taking tendency
Can become a chemically bound dependency,
If we rely on Caff to sooth the passage from night to day,
With ailments of the bladder, stomach or cancer we might pay.
Compared to other drugs Caff is mellow and mild,
In tea leaves and coffee beans her essence is compiled,
In her refeshing beverages delightful and gay
Lies the entrance to day in Caffs mellow way.
